How to Convert HEIC to JPG on Windows, Android or Mac (Free)

iPhones save photos as HEIC by default. Windows PCs, many Android phones and lots of websites cannot open or upload HEIC, which is why a photo you took a minute ago will not attach to an email or a form.
Convert in your browser
- Open HEIC to JPG and choose your .heic or .heif photo.
- Press Convert. HEIC decoding takes a few seconds for large photos.
- Download the JPG. It opens on any device.
Why not just email the HEIC?
The recipient may not be able to open it. JPG is the format everyone can view, so converting first avoids the problem.
Stop it happening again
On the iPhone, go to Settings, Camera, Formats and choose Most Compatible. New photos will then be saved as JPG.
