Scan to PDF
Use your phone as a scanner — no app needed.
🔒 Everything above runs on your device — your file is never uploaded anywhere.
Scan to PDF lets you photograph document pages with your phone camera, or upload photos you already have, and combines them into a single PDF. No app to install and no account: it works in your mobile or desktop browser, and photos never leave your device.
You do not need a dedicated scanning app to digitize paperwork. On a phone, the Scan a page button opens the rear camera directly; take a photo of each page, and every shot is added to the list. On a laptop the same button opens a file picker so you can choose photos already on disk.
Photos are listed as thumbnails. Reorder them with the arrows, delete a blurry shot and retake it, then create the PDF. Each photo becomes one page, scaled to fit A4 while keeping its proportions.
For the best results, lay the page flat on a plain, contrasting surface, use even daylight, and hold the phone directly above the page to avoid skewed edges. Shadows are the most common cause of poor scans, so avoid casting your own.
Photos must be JPG or PNG. Some phones save HEIC images by default; if yours does, switch the camera format to Most Compatible (JPG) in your camera settings. Because everything is processed locally, sensitive documents such as IDs, invoices and contracts are never uploaded anywhere.
How it works
- 1Tap Scan a page to photograph each page, or upload photos.
- 2Reorder or delete pages until the list is right.
- 3Create the PDF and download it.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work on my phone?+
Yes. On most phones Scan a page opens the rear camera. On desktop it opens a file picker instead.
Are my photos uploaded?+
No. Photos are combined into a PDF on your device and never sent to a server.
Why was my photo rejected?+
Only JPG and PNG are supported. If your phone shoots HEIC, change the camera format to JPG.
Does it straighten or enhance the photo?+
No. It places each photo as a page without editing it, so photograph the page flat and well lit.
