Fill PDF Forms detects the fillable fields in your PDF — text boxes, checkboxes and dropdowns — shows them as a simple form, and saves the completed file. Nothing is uploaded, so tax forms, applications and contracts stay on your device.
Many official PDFs, from tax forms to job applications, contain built-in interactive fields. Any PDF reader can fill them, but people often print, write by hand and rescan instead. This tool reads the form fields directly and presents them as a clean list, so you type once and download a finished document.
Text fields are shown as inputs, checkboxes as checkboxes, and dropdowns and radio groups as selectors with the options the form defines. Existing values are pre-filled, so you can also use it to correct a form that was partly completed.
Tick Flatten if you want the result locked: flattening converts the filled fields into ordinary page content so they can no longer be edited. This is useful before sending a form you do not want changed. Leave it off to keep the form editable.
This works only on PDFs that already contain fillable fields. A scanned or flat PDF has no fields to detect; the tool tells you so, and the Edit PDF tool lets you type text on top of a flat page instead.

Frequently asked questions
Why does it say my PDF has no form fields?+
The PDF is probably flat, such as a scan. Use the Edit PDF tool to type over it.
What does flatten do?+
It turns the filled fields into normal page content so they cannot be edited afterwards.
Is my data uploaded?+
No. The form is filled in your browser and never leaves your device.
Does it fill XFA forms?+
No. Only standard AcroForm fields are supported. Some government forms use XFA and need Adobe Acrobat.
