HEIC to JPG

Turn iPhone HEIC photos into JPG — privately.

🔒 Everything above runs on your device — your file is never uploaded anywhere.

HEIC to JPG converts photos taken on an iPhone or iPad into standard JPG files that open everywhere. It runs in your browser, so your photos are never uploaded.

Since iOS 11, iPhones save photos as HEIC by default because the format is about half the size of JPG at similar quality. The catch is compatibility: many Windows PCs, Android phones, websites and photo portals cannot open or upload HEIC files. Converting to JPG solves that in one step.

Drop your .heic or .heif file, press Convert, and a JPG downloads. HEIC decoding is heavier than a normal image, so a large photo can take a few seconds. Nothing is sent anywhere, which matters for personal photos and ID documents.

If you would rather avoid converting at all, you can change the iPhone setting under Settings, Camera, Formats to Most Compatible so new photos are saved as JPG.

How it works

  1. 1Upload your HEIC image.
  2. 2Click Convert to JPG.
  3. 3Download the JPG file.

Frequently asked questions

Why can I not open HEIC photos on Windows?+

Can I convert several photos?+

Convert them one at a time with this tool.

Is my HEIC file uploaded?+

The conversion runs in your browser, so the picture is never uploaded to a server.
